PD1 Futsal Academy

What is Futsal?

The most technically skilled soccer players in history, like Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Iniesta, and Robinho, developed their talents by playing futsal. This fast-paced, dynamic game is played on a smaller court, about the size of a basketball court, which encourages players to stay constantly engaged, make quick decisions, and improve their footwork. The smaller space and fewer players mean that every touch on the ball matters, helping to develop control, precision, and agility.

Futsal also uses a heavier ball, which keeps the play on the ground and emphasizes passing, dribbling, and ball mastery—the essence of 'Jogo Bonito' or 'the beautiful game.' It moves away from the unpredictable long-ball style and instead promotes creativity, quick thinking, and teamwork, laying a solid technical foundation that translates directly to outdoor soccer.

Develop skills and character with PD1

More important than futsal, PD1 exists to use the sport as a tool to teach the kids to live a life of purpose, discipline, excellence, and integrity and to support their development in all spheres of life. The PD1 Futsal Academy program is for the players/families ready to commit more time to learn the game of futsal in more depth and be able to compete against regional futsal teams, and potentially in local and regional tournaments.

Signing up for the tryouts DOES NOT guarantee a spot. We will wait and see the ages/levels of players who register to give us an idea of how to set up the teams. You will receive an email confirming your acceptance into the program within 1 week of tryouts. At that point, you will be required to pay.
